Hitachi Energy and RT-One Collaborate on AI Data Center Platform

ZURICH, Switzerland, and SÃO PAULO, Brazil — Hitachi Energy announces an agreement with RT-One to contribute to the development of electrification infrastructure for the largest artificial intelligence data center platform in Latin America. The project includes a mega campus in Uberlândia (MG), another in Maringá (PR), and a third site under evaluation — positioning Brazil as a global hub for high-density computing, clean energy, and digital sovereignty.

With global experience in network integration, the project envisions the provision of advanced high-voltage electrical systems and grid connections from Hitachi Energy, ensuring energy efficiency, reliability, and resilience at a large scale — essential requirements for enterprises supporting critical services such as data centers.

“We signed this agreement with RT-One because we believe in Brazil’s potential as a global hub for AI and data centers. Hitachi Energy, as a global leader in electrification technology, can contribute to RT-One’s goals by enabling reliable and sustainable power for their data centers. To do this, we are bringing our strengths in engineering, supply chain, technology, and expertise in clean energy,” says Fábio Nugnezi, Director of Marketing and Sales at Hitachi Energy in Brazil.

The technologies will be designed for secure network integration, offering flexibility for future expansions and robustness to handle peak demand. With advancements in artificial intelligence and cloud computing, reliable and resilient electrical connections are essential in Brazil, where electricity consumption is expected to grow 3.3 percent annually by 2035¹, driven by the electrification of industry and mobility. With a growing  population and the rise of data centers, it is crucial to implement solutions that guarantee network flexibility and ensure continuous access to energy in a mostly renewable matrix.

“Hitachi Energy, bringing its entire portfolio of high-voltage systems integration and automation, is an essential partner for the development of energy infrastructure focused on large-scale data centers,” says Ricardo Simões, global VP from RT-One.

The initial phase includes 100 megawatts (MW) on the Uberlândia campus, with up to 200 MW in Maringá, for modular expansion beyond 400 MW per campus. RT-One’s first deliveries are planned for 2026, boosting the development of AI poles, High Performance Computing (HPC), cybersecurity, and sovereign cloud in Brazil.
