Kirby Risk: Investing in Innovation For Electrification

-

Government policies are driving large customers to sustainability, and electrical companies are following suit. With the amount of money being invested in the industry, electrical companies must stay at the forefront of knowledge in sustainability. John Eggleton, President and Chief Operating Officer from Kirby Risk, speaks on this opportunity.

“There are multiple market drivers that are accelerating ‘electrification’ or the adoption of electricity as the primary source of energy,” says John Eggleton. “Reshoring, SMART Manufacturing, sustainability, and the rapid growth of AI will require new infrastructure and significant expansion in power capacity.”

The electrical industry must support getting rid of the old systems and bringing in new products and systems to support the new products.

“Our customers need to move quickly towards complex and, often, new solutions that require significant change. We are collaborating sooner with our supplier partners to understand our customers’ desired outcomes and to engage the domain experts needed to deliver the right product, service, and software solutions,” Eggleton said.

Kirby Risk expects to see growth in its sales and company.

“We expect exponential growth over the next decade based on these opportunities,” Eggleton said. “There’s work to be done in developing new solutions, new expertise, and new people to support electrification and the direction and pace our customers are moving,”

As the industry grows, so does the need for new talent and ideas. Eggleton predicts it will be easier to attract new talent.

He believes the exciting trends and opportunities will help to market the electrical industry and attract new talent.

“With the projected industry growth, our purposeful sustainability solutions, and the fact that we serve virtually all industry segments, we certainly have exciting careers to offer new candidates,” says Eggleton.
