Mentor, Ohio – EYE Lighting International, a leading manufacturer of lamps, luminaires, controls, and related lighting products, has awarded a scholarship to James Ryan of Cleveland Heights, a 2013 Benedictine High School graduate, through the Cleveland Technical Societies Council (CTSC) Scholarship and Achievement Awards. James will be attending The Ohio State University to study Mechanical Engineering.

During the 67th Annual CTSC Scholarship and Achievement Awards, 22 scholarships were awarded to local high school students. Nearly 200 local science, technology and educational professionals attended the awards in May with special guest speaker, Baiju Shah, chief executive office at BioMotiv (formerly BioEnterprise), a drug development company.
Since 1947, the CTSC annually awards $1,000 college scholarships to the best and brightest science and technology students in Northeast Ohio, as nominated by their teachers. CTSC grants approximately $20,000 in scholarships annually to students from more than 150 area high schools.
