Port Washington, New York – WAC Lighting will co-sponsor Nassau County’s First Annual Science and Engineering Fair for all public and private middle school and high school students in Nassau County, New York on Saturday, May 18th, from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City, NY. This event will be the first time that any county in New York State has created a countywide science and engineering fair.
“WAC Lighting is very proud to support Long Island students and encourage them to understand the importance of science and technology,” explained WAC Lighting President Shelley Wald. “We hope a large number of students will participate in this countywide event.”
The Center for Science Teaching and Learning (CSTL), a non-profit organization located in Rockville Centre, is serving as the program managers. CSTL has a mission of encouraging science learning and literacy. CSTL develops programs for people of all ages. CSTL is currently administering a global competition called The Clean Tech Competition and has created competitions nationally and globally.
